Anthony Barboza

Anthony ‘Tony’ Barboza, known for his great photography, has photographs in museum collections such as the Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, as well as international collections such as Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Taiwan and University of Ghana, among many others.

In addition to his photography, Tony has been painting for his personal enjoyment. The paintings exhibit his sense of humor and project a unique free expression that can also be seen in works by Jean-Michel Basquiat and other outstanding self-taught artists.

Tony fully explains his theme title, Struttin’ for this exhibit: “Struttin’, Buttin’, Rappin’, Touchin’, with melodies of color all in rhythm. This being all about…Us!”

We are both pleased and honored to present Anthony Barboza’s ‘first ever’ exhibited paintings from the period 1984–1995.
